Community Outreach
Use of the Church Hall / Parish HUB
The Church Halls are available for hire.
There is a large Hall and a small Hall, called the Parish HUB.
Adjoining the small Hall is a fully equipped kitchen with a large gas cooker and oven, fridge/freezer and serving hatch. There is a unisex toilet and a fully accessible toilet.
Church Transport
If you would like to come to church but transport or mobility is a problem, please let us know by the Friday before and we will come and collect you, and take you home afterwards.
Please contact Rev’d Heidi 01854 612360
Hospital Car Scheme
This is a FREE community service for hospital appointments.
Call 07526 985 606 to book the car and a driver.
The service is currently operating again when we can get drivers. We will do our best to assist you!
Please remember that our drivers are all volunteers. The car will be sanitised and the driver and passengers must wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer provided.
The service is provided by Valvoline Garage and DC Coachworks in association with the Church of Scotland.
Donations towards the cost of the scheme are always gratefully received.
You can make a donation by following this link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lochbroom-ullapool-church-of-scotland
Fairtrade
There are always Fairtrade goods and products available in the Parish HUB, and a monthly Fairtrade Coffee Morning to promote Fairtrade in general and for customers to sample new products.
Lochbroom House & Mo Dhachaidh
The Minister and members of the congregation visit both our local Care Homes on a monthly basis. There is a short service, plenty of singing and often a practical craft activity to engage hearts and minds.
Community Prayer Boxes
We have two community prayer boxes. If you or someone you love is in need of prayer, please place your prayer on a note (anonymously if you wish) and pop it in the locked box either by the hardware Shop on Shore Street, or on the wall outside the Church Hall.
Every Tuesday morning, Rev’d Heidi will collect the prayer requests and she and a small group of parishoners will be praying.
If you would like to come to morning prayers, you are welcome to attend on Tuesday mornings, between 09.30-10.00 in the Parish HUB.
